Neo Blythe is a very fashion doll created in 1972 and was sold for 1 year in USA by the company Kenner. In 1997 New York TV and video producer Gina Garan was given a 1972 Kenner Blythe by a friend and began using it to practice her photographic skills.

She began taking her Blythe doll everywhere with her and took hundreds of photos. She showed the Blythe doll to the world. There are 3 different Blythe models. The NEO Blythe, her head is about the size of a grapefruit with slender body. When you pull the string at the back of her head, her eyes colors and eye direction will change and this changes her face expression totally. When her eyes color and direction change, she looks almost like a different doll.

Middie Blythe, she’s about 20 cm. Only full-sized dolls have color-changing eyes.

Petite Blythe, the 11.2 cm “Petite Blythe” from Takara, The first Petite dolls were keychains, and after some time the design was changed so the Petite eyes would close when the doll was laid down.

Blythe is very popular from her high fashion sense. Which makes her become a presenter or model for many magazines or advertising.
